 Church Wardens: 

Carol Austin

I am Carol Austin and I have recently become a Church Warden for 2026/2027. I have worshiped at All Saints Church Wingerworth for 15 years and prior to this 23years at All Saints Heath. I still help with the Flower Festivals at Heath. This is my second period as church warden alongside Janet Magson. We work very well together as we both have different strengths. This makes for an excellent partnership. I am Lay Chair of the PCC. I am Baptism Officer for All Saints Wingerworth and I really enjoy this role. I deal with organising dates for baptisms whilst we are in vacancy and all the administration work. I have wonderful support from the Mothers Union especially on the day of the Baptisms. I enjoy being in the kitchen for social events especially Lunch Club and Messy Church. I help out at the Toddler group on Tuesdays which is always entertaining and rewarding. All Saints Church is ready for a new phase in its life and with this I hope we are blessed with an incumbent in the near future.

Janet Magson

I am Janet Magson, recently installed as one of the new Church Wardens for 2026/27.
I have worshipped at All Saints for 50 years now and the collective worship plays a big part in my life. I currently act as Server, Eucharistic Minister and lesson reader.
I am an experienced Warden having previously done the job for 9 years, two of which were in Vacancy.
I have an excellent working relationship with my colleague Carol Austin who has also been elected as Warden. We work together efficiently and caringly for the good of the church and its congregation. I am also the Secretary to the PCC, producing a Pew Sheet each week, giving a copy of the readings and details of happening in the church and community.
I enjoy being part of the church community and I am the Social Secretary for the monthly Lunch Club. I enjoy helping with events which need catering, being front of house and welcoming people.
I hope that through my time as Warden, we can come to the point where we have an incumbent to work with, to guide us, and to encourage new younger people to our congregation.
